Break up besties

We met in lockdown and bonded over heartbreak. Both recently single and dealing with the aftermath of shitty ex boyfriends.
You held my hand throughout the break up, more so than friends I’ve had for 20 years.
We spoke all day, every day whilst putting our lives back together. Hundreds of voice notes full of tears and laughter.
I believe that everything happens for a reason and you came into my life at exactly the time I needed you.
I’m forever grateful to have you in my life. Men will come and go but we’ll always have each other.
