Cloud nine

After an initial two weeks of texting during lockdown followed by two weeks of (mostly) cloud-nine bliss, I ended things because I couldn't do long-distance. Well, it's been two years now and somehow, we keep coming back to each other. Twice, in fact, with long periods of no contact in-between due to one thing or another. 

Once I've been hurt, I tend to cut people out of my life, but they are the most supportive, accepting, empathetic person I've ever met. Through them, I've learned so many life lessons and healed so many deep scars. I have no idea where this will go, and the distance hasn't changed, but I'm excited for what awaits us. 

And I can honestly say that, come what may, I love them and I wish them all the best <3
