Fighter

Lockdown was different for us. We were trapped overseas and away from family and friends, but for a while our bubble was blissful and safe; you, me and our boys.
When my cancer returned with vengeance and treatment was alone and isolating, the distance between us grew. I had always been your rock and now I really needed you.
But the isolation was too much, and as I got sicker I needed more from you than you could give.
I believed your promises to never walk away or give up on us. Now, 1.5 years later, the cancer fight isn’t breaking me, but losing you has. My best friend and my love. I miss you
