Gone for so long

After moving internationally for university, I met someone online. He travelled from his home town to meet me for our first date (when it was legal to do so) and I've never felt so taken by someone before. We talked for hours, I was gone for so long on our first date that my flat mates were worried were I was. Later on, I ended up stranded at his house as someone I know had contracted covid-19. I think that's what made our relationship seem so natural- early on, we realised we can be around each other all the time and be happy. He's my boyfriend now and we still talk for hours endlessly, I think I could talk with him forever.
