American love story

I’m an American university student living in the UK who couldn’t make it home in time when lockdown started. I lived for months with some friends, before my university cleared us to come back to the uni and collect our things. Still not able to go back to the US, I rented “emergency” accommodation through the university. This was for all the students like me, who didn’t really have anywhere to go in the UK. There was, coincidentally, someone in my building, who was lonely like me and downloaded tinder. We were required to lock down with people that we lived with at the time, and it just so happens that we clicked. We never would’ve met if it weren’t for covid, and even though he’s now in Germany and we haven’t seen each other since November, I’m pretty grateful for the opportunities we do have. I’m with the most wonderful, kind, understanding person in the world, in a healthy relationship for the first time in my life, and dating the hottest guy ever who genuinely makes me feel special. And he’s hilarious. I’m so so grateful
