Crushed

I thought I had met my soul mate. I had never had anyone show me that level of attention to detail about my likes & dislikes, shower me with love and affection before. Lockdown came and she started going distant... Gone were the long texts, good morning texts and phone calls. She would not let me meet her family or friends for some reason during the time we were together either. 

I asked if we could have a socially distanced picnic to which she declined. Then she ended it and broke our special connection. She went on to make fake profiles trying to catch me out on dating sites after the split, her friends who I didn't know adding me to FB and she just couldn't let me go out of her life yet didn't want to be with me.

Further down the line she said she thought she could have a relationship and be with a woman but she was wrong and out of order to mess me around like that. Now? She's in a relationship with another woman (who has kids, which my ex always told me if I wanted kids she couldn't be with me!)

I wish I hadn't fallen under her spell cos she absolutely crushed me.
