Grad-itude

We were both taking part in an initiative for 2020 graduates of drama school on Twitter in the first lockdown and I followed her Instagram page where she was doing live gigs on a Sunday. I watched a whole gig and messaged her saying how wonderful she was. We talked everyday for a month and a half, moving from messages, to voice notes, to film nights on zoom and even reading to her to help her sleep (which I still do). I moved back home to London and she texted me one day to say I had a package. I walked out topless in my workout shorts (looking a mess) and the present was her, looking 1000x better than I did. We socially distanced until it was safe and we’re now happily together and I feel incredibly lucky to have ever crossed paths with her.
