Final Tinder date

I swore you were my last tinder date before I was going to delete the app forever, fed up of wasting my time either on men using it to try and get a cheap thrill or men who acted as if they’d never been thrilled in their life.

I turned out to be right. It’s almost a year since I swiped right on you and the trials of tinder are just distant memories. Why carry on looking when I’ve found someone as great on the inside as on the outside. A man who isn’t scared of feelings and, more importantly, can talk about those feelings. A brilliant father who parents rather than plays Disney dad. You lift me up without ever putting me down and, despite the scars of my failed marriage, it’s surprisingly easy to trust you.

2020 has been so bad in so many ways. But it will forever remain one of my favourite years. One where I met my soulmate and my son met his ‘bonus daddy’.

It may have started as a lockdown love story, but you are my lifelong love story.
