Out of the comfort zone

Imagine the people who never met
The relationships that never flourished
The children that never were
The people we lost to the virus
The isolation that laid the seeds for depression 
The lost opportunities 
The irreversible pain 

And the partners who fell more in love
The children that were born
The relationships that strengthened
The finding of ourselves 
The strength that once festered within that had to seek light, and life
The friends that were there for one another 
The community we built to survive and limit suffering 

When a person gets thrown out of their comfort zone, we find out what they are made of
When the entire human race gets thrown out its comfort zone, the human spirit which defines us rises.
