Total disappointment

During lockdown I began talking to a guy who lived in the city I go to uni at. I then went home and we've been talking ever since. We were Facetiming multiple times a week and he told me he thought he would fall for me. I really did start to gain feelings, counting down the days until I was back at Uni and I could see him. Then suddenly he's ghosted me. No messages, no explanation, nothing. I guess atleast all my wasted energy was online and he didn't get a chance to hurt me in reality.
