Everything I ever wanted

We made it through lockdown on our small canal boat, struggling with wfh and you becoming unemployed. We both dealt with covid in the Nov 2020, then long covid, funeral for loved ones and then new jobs roles. We made it through and got closer. We got engaged in Sept 2021. I finally thought I was getting everything I ever wanted. I had you, and our cat, in our small floating home. Making big plans for the future. You were everything I ever wanted. We had planned our wedding for this summer. Everything was organised and on track. 4 months until our forever day and that is when I found the photos. My life fell apart that day and I called off the wedding. I still cannot process things. The 23rd August date is coming too quickly. I'll never be prepared for that day. I'm living just about.
