I made the decision to fully delete all my dating app profiles during lockdown. This was a difficult decision, seeing as I’ve been single for 4 years and in the middle a global pandemic with no other means to meet anyone. 

I decided that the energy I was spending on dating apps, having average conversations with average men, is energy that I could be investing in myself. I’ve tried to put that energy into new hobbies, existing friendships and future plans. 

There is so much pressure on relationships and finding “the one”, but as Ru Paul once said “if you can’t love yourself how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?”.
