Mr Potential

We met at 16. He was a family friend. Our friends would say ‘you two should be together’ which we dismissed. Time went on, and I put the thought of it to the back of my mind.

Lockdown was challenging for me and my boyfriend who had been together for nearly 3 years and I could feel the cracks appearing. 

As lockdown was lifted, my friends threw me a small socially distanced party for my birthday, and they invited Mr Potential (we’ll call him) as a surprise. 

We spent the whole night talking, and didn’t go to bed until 6am. He lived at the other side of the country, and asked me to come up to visit his family at the weekend. 

At this point, my relationship had fallen apart and I had nothing to lose. 

I went over for the weekend, we had the most incredible fiery sex, and pushed those barriers we hadn’t dared to. Since then, we’ve spoken every day and are planning to spend Christmas together when he returns from the navy ❤️
