Big crush

I had a big crush on this dude at my school in the months prior to the lockdown. We hardly ever talked,,,I’m not really an expert at talking to crushes. I always thought “if he likes me, he’ll come to me first...”, what a stupid mentality. My mind would switch between that and “ok tomorrow..tomorrow I’ll definitely strike up a conversation”. Well folks, tomorrow never came. Don’t take an opportunity you have to talk to someone you like for granted. Even if it doesnt go as you hope for, it’s far better than wondering ‘what if’. Anyways, the lockdown happened, summer came and went. School stayed virtual well into fall 2020. Now we’re in hybrid learning. I’m just going to be friendly, be myself...yada yada. And if along the way, I find that the feelings aren’t reciprocated, then I guess that’s the end of that chapter. It’s not like it’s the end of the world...the pandy came pretty damn close to ushering in the end of the world as we know it, but you just gotta learn to adapt...to lockdowns, pandemics, unmet expectations, heartache. Wish me luck ,)
