Blue ticked

We randomly connected in September this year - I couldn’t believe my luck! I have seen you around for years and secretly fancied you but we never spoke. You started messaging me frequently since November. I have lived alone in this pandemic - things started to look up. I started opening up and got used to chatting with you and sharing my thoughts without inhibitions. I also made the rookie mistake of dreaming about “us”.

It’s been a week today and you not been in touch. I have been blue ticked and I see you online. I am gutted. Too scared to ask if you are ok and why have you stopped speaking to me. What if you say you are - then it means you are just no longer interested in me. I am not ready to hear that yet, especially with an impending lonely Christmas. Foolish heart!
