Crash

We’d previously been together a few years prior, but drifted apart with work commitments as we are both very career driven.

We crashed into each other on a bike ride. He says it was by pure coincidence, but he hasn’t seemed to have lost his balance on the bike since then! We ended up having a social distanced drink by the river, and with him now on furlough, it opened up a whole new chapter for us. We’ve spent more time together in the past few months than we had all those years prior. We both reevaluated our priorities and realised that the only thing we truly wanted was each other.

I have now forgiven him for my bruised kneecap that day, as he’s promised that he’ll make it up to me by one day getting down on his!
