As soon as the first lockdown came, I knew what I had to do. I deleted you. I blocked you on every form of social media and contact platform. You’ve been my ex for seven years and for some reason, even though you had broken my heart so many times, I couldn’t let you go completely. This time I knew what I had to do, I couldn’t face a lockdown waiting to see if you would message me at 3 in the morning. Lockdown was when I ripped the plaster of you off for good. No contact and if I am being completely honest, you didn’t even cross me mind, it was like you didn’t exist anymore. Lockdown two has now come... and the best thing I ever did was say goodbye in lockdown one. Life is so much better with you completely gone.
