How many more times?

We matched on New Year’s Eve. You told me you were surprised to find a girl like me on Hinge. You text me after our first date to say you loved it. You kissed me in the rain and told me you felt content with me on our third date. Less than 24 hours before our fourth date you text me to call it off. You said you weren’t in the right headspace for a serious relationship. Nothing in the last 5 months of knowing you prepared me for this. And once again I ask myself: how many more times must I go through this?
