Locked down

I’ve know him for around 15 yrs and was dating for 3 and half yrs. It was an extremely toxic relationship but we did love each other in a weird way. So the last time I saw him he was acting differently but I didn’t think anything of it as he was always in his feelings. The following evening he left my house and verbally abused me. I never heard from him again. 
A couple of weeks went by and I saw a mutual friend of ours who informed me my NOW EX-boyfriend had a ongoing court case for the last year and he got found guilty and he’s in jail.
