Movie love

After a brief time on Tinder, we messaged on Instagram and met in Camden. I got to know her a bit before we saw The 1975 live at the O2 in February. We both knew the connection was strong, even though we were nothing but nervous every time we were together. She worked as an Au Pair an hour away from my Uni, but as the virus got worse, we saw each other more. We called it official on the 13th of March, but the following day our parents booked our flights home. Her being from Cologne, Germany, and me being from Las Vegas, Nevada in the US. I kept telling her, "I will be on my way soon", as we both knew we loved each other, even in those few days spent out in London. We both knew this was not the end, only the beginning. The distance hurt, a lot. We learned more about each other and our families. I got to see what her beautiful garden looked like, through the tiny box that we call Facetime. The hardest thing was not knowing a date. Not knowing what day we can look forward to. Eventually after booking one flight, having it cancelled, finding a couple places to live, the 2nd of September was the day I could make it from LAS to LAX to London Heathrow. Finally, after numerous Facetime calls, texts, movies watched virtually, it's hard to believe that we're in the same room. I knew from the beginning her love was unlike any other, and here we are, living in an actual movie.
