Stereotypes

There are stereotypes about two women in love; intense emotions, fast paced relationships, and the acquiring of walking boots and cats. We’ve successfully fulfilled them all in our four years together. But normally life and work and long London commutes get in the way of the best bits of those things.

Lockdown has had hard moments, with worries about friends and family, lost work, changed plans, and seemingly endless washing up. But the time it’s afforded has been a gift to us. If fulfilling those stereotypes is meant to be a bad thing then really I feel sorry for straight people. I’ve never loved long walks, our cat, or just being with her chatting for hours on end more.
