Take two

My boyfriend and I started dating in November last year. We dated before years ago but due to the age gap we decided to leave things, I was 16 and he was 23; I’m now 23 and he is 30. Anyway, some time passed by and we crossed each other’s paths again. We didn’t spend that much time together in the first few months due to work commitments etc. Then when lockdown came I was staying at his house. His family allowed me to stay, included me in meals, his mum did my washing etc. I have never felt so comfortable and content. It had that feeling of home which I get at home. I’ve been in relationships before; long term and short term and never felt this way. Lockdown has given me the opportunity to realise how lucky I am to have crossed paths with him again and also made me realise that age is just a number and not to let a good opportunity pass my by again because of something so trivial.
