I fell for you over text
I fell for you when I saw you in person 
And I don’t do it often but 
I told you 
I told you everything I felt 
And I put it there for you to take 
And you nearly did 
But you walked away 
It hurt 
It ruined me 
It broke me in ways that I’ve never been broken 
But I grew
In every crack 
They filled it with gold 
With champagne and pretty silk dresses 
With pasta 
And handwritten letters
With words I’d hold for a long time and looks that were burned into my mind 
They picked me back up again 
And put me right 
I don’t even think of that night
