The higher you climb…
I had my heart broken in January. I was really struggling then covid hit.... I decided to try some dating apps to take my mind off things in March when a little ray of light came my way. I met this guy on Tinder, he was from Italy. We quickly moved to insta, snap and then whatsap. It started off as some fun - sending sexy pics - then he asked if I wanted to go on holiday with him when restrictions loosened. Italy was added to the green list so I suggested I come to him. We had talked about enjoying nature and walks so he suggested we take a week long trip to the mountains. I thought, why not what have I got to lose.... My friends thought I was crazy. Meeting some guy I have never met in the moutains - nothing dangerous or scary about that! Fast forward a few months I arrive in Italy... He meets me at the airport and we do a 2 hour car journey up to the mountains. We instantly hit it off. No awkwardness just pure fun. He took me to lakes, up different mountains and showed me some of his favourite places. Language was a small issue but it was replaced with affection. I dunno if it was the constant mountain climbs or what but we were doing it sometimes 3 times a day. When I left him after our 7 days together I was sad and he was sad but I had accepted that this was just an experience and nothing else would come from it. To this day I still wake up to a good morning text from him every day. If it wasn’t for covid, I would be visiting him again right now. Who knows what the future holds: have no regrets and never miss an oportunity, life is too short. It may surprise you with somethng beautiful.
