Unresolved issues

A few months before lockdown I thought I had met that guy; the one who makes things okay. The one who gets your humour and loves the sarcasm. Then lockdown happened and he felt issues from his past were unresolved and therefore couldn’t handle anything serious. He said he wasn’t dating or in the right mind to, but then I found out the girl of 20yrs friendship is the one he wants to hang out with. One day that’ll be me I’m sure, but my heart feels heavy right now. Will this feeling ever leave?
