We had been friends for years…

We had been friends for several years. COVID came and we were both stuck at home, so we started messaging. Then he started calling me and we started talking more and more on the phone. Then in July, things opened briefly, and he offered to pick me up and take me to get some carry-out food. When he pulled up in his car, he looked so cute and I was so happy to see him. I got in the car and he was too cool to hug me, but when we got to the neighborhood with the restaurants, we held hands walking down the street. The sushi place we wanted to get food was closed, but we found a little bar with outdoor seathing. We sat down and ordered beers, and miraculously, a small band started playing. It was a sunny day and we sat outside and listened to music and drank beer. When he got up to go to the mens room, he leaned over and gave me the longest, hottest kiss ever. 9 months later, we are still madly in love.
