Why do men do this?

I started talking to this guy on Bumble, the conversation was a bit dry but I was still really intrigued by him so kept talking. I would smile even over the simple messages. He works shift work so mentioned we would have to wait before he could take me on a date. That's when I bit the bullet to exchange numbers. We started talking more frequently and sending a few photos. I was abit curious as he is 10 years older than me and has very young children. We video called and had a lovely chat, well so I thought. Then nothing... He ignored my messages and when he wasnt ignoring them he was blunt. Why do men do this?!
